Bhagavad Gita World

The equal vision of the wise

The wise see with equal vision a learned and humble brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog and an outcaste.

विद्याविनयसम्पन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि ।
शुनि चैव श्वपाके च पण्डिताः समदर्शिनः ॥

vidyāvinayasampanne brāhmaṇe gavi hastini .
śuni caiva śvapāke ca paṇḍitāḥ samadarśinaḥ ॥

Bodies, birth and appearance differ, but the same soul and the same Supreme dwell in all. This vision removes discrimination and awakens compassion for everyone.
