Bhagavad Gita World

All is strung on Me like pearls on a thread

There is nothing whatsoever higher than Me, O Dhananjaya. All this is strung on Me like pearls on a thread.

मत्तः परतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिदस्ति धनञ्जय ।
मयि सर्वमिदं प्रोतं सूत्रे मणिगणा इव ॥

mattaḥ parataraṃ nānyatkiñcidasti dhanañjaya .
mayi sarvamidaṃ protaṃ sūtre maṇigaṇā iva ॥

Related Gita verse: Gita 7.7

The beads of a mala look separate, yet one thread holds them all together. In the same way, behind the variety of the world stands the one Lord who sustains everything.

Life lesson: amid all differences, recognise the unity that connects everyone.
