Author: Shri Vallabhacharya (15th–16th century)
Shri Vallabhacharya, founder of the Pushtimarg, sings of the sweetness of child Krishna in these eight verses. Every verse ends with "madhuradhipater akhilam madhuram" — everything about the Lord of sweetness is sweet.
The first verse calls His lips, face, eyes, smile, heart and gait sweet. In the second His words, deeds, garments, posture, movement and wandering are sweet. In the third His flute, the dust of His feet, His hands, His feet, His dance and His friendship are sweet.
In the fourth verse His singing, drinking, eating, sleeping, form and tilak are sweet. In the fifth His actions, His swimming, His stealing (of butter and of hearts), His play, and even His stillness are sweet.
In the sixth verse His gunja-berry garland, the Yamuna, her waves, her water and her lotuses are sweet. In the seventh the gopis, His pastimes, His meeting and parting, His glance and His courtesy are sweet. In the eighth the cowherd boys, the cows, His stick, His creation, His crushing of the wicked and His bestowing of fruit are all sweet.
The feeling is that everything connected with the Lord tastes sweet to a loving devotee. It is sung daily in the morning or evening.
