The person of steady wisdom

One whose mind is not shaken by sorrow, who has no craving for pleasure, and who is free from attachment, fear and anger, is called a sage of steady wisdom.

दुःखेष्वनुद्विग्नमनाः सुखेषु विगतस्पृहः ।
वीतरागभयक्रोधः स्थितधीर्मुनिरुच्यते ॥

duḥkheṣvanudvignamanāḥ sukheṣu vigataspṛhaḥ .
vītarāgabhayakrodhaḥ sthitadhīrmunirucyate ॥

Arjuna asked what a person of steady wisdom is like. Shri Krishna explains that such a person is known not by outer circumstances but by inner peace.

Life lesson: pause for a moment before you react; that is where steadiness begins.
